AI helps autonomous forklifts become a new engine for industry growth

Liu Mingjian, manager of the international logistics department of a forklift truck company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, introduced that in June, they broke their flight records, including shipments and container volumes. Normally, the daily volume is 50-60 boxes, and the maximum daily volume reaches more than 100 boxes. They are also shipping to Europe, America, and the South East Asia market will be more active in 2025.

According to the relevant person in charge, in the past two years, the cost of electric forklifts has declined, forming a pattern of the same price for oil and electricity. However, the cost of using electric forklifts is lower, demand has increased, and orders have risen rapidly. Many of the company's production lines are at full capacity.

Zhang Junjun, international general manager of a forklift truck company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, introduced that the growth of large vehicles over 10 tons was relatively obvious. In the first half of the year, the large-tonnage forklift of HAECO increased by 88% year-on-year, of which orders for HAECO front cranes and empty container stackers increased by 315% year-on-year, and shipments increased by 460% year-on-year.

At a forklift company in Anji, Zhejiang, the relevant person in charge said that they currently have more than 1,000 forklifts of various types in Nissan. Due to the rapid demand for "oil-to-electricity" from downstream enterprises, all production capacity has been switched to electric forklifts.

Data from China Construction Machinery Association shows that in the first half of the year, the total sales of forklifts in our country reached 739,334 units, and the sales of electric forklifts accounted for 74.4%. It is expected that the annual sales growth of electric forklifts is expected to exceed 15%.
